1. What is Adr_Book?
--------------------

  Adr_Html is an address book program specifically designed to enhance
  personal communications on the Internet. The interface program is a
  graphical address book program which runs on Microsoft Windows and is
  compatible with Windows 95. Rather than producing labels and envelopes
  as a standard address book program does, Adr_Html produces customizable
  Html pages for each or your records.


2. Quick Start.
---------------

 If you are like me, then about five minutes is all you will give a
 program to see if it is useful. Follow this quick start and it should
 get you there in five minutes. 

 There is a sample database file provided named DEMO.HDR. This file
 should automatically be loaded the first time you execute Adr_Html.
 Now do the following:

   a. Select from the FILE menu the 'Write Html Frame Col Style...'
   b. A dialog box will appear. There are options here for modifying your 
      html pages. For now, ignore all options and simply click on
      'Write Files...'.
   c. In the File write dialog double click on 'pages' to locate yourself
      in that directory.
   d. Click OK. You will get a help dialog that says that you need to
      open the file FRAMECOL.HTM with your browser. Your browser needs
      to be Netscape 2.0 or later. Click OK.
   e. Now fire up Netscape.
   f. From the File menu of Netscape select Open File....
   g. Locate FRAMECOL.HTM which most likely will be found in
      c:\adhtml10\pages\framecol.htm

 And after doing this if things don't look nice to you, then I didn't do my
 job very well.

 One hint.  You can put any email address and URL in the notes field and it
            will automatically become a clickable link. For the email to
            work properly you will need to have the Email preferences of 
            Netscape configured.

   
3. INSTALLATION
----------------

  To perform the installation insert the floppy in drive A or B and run
  INSTALL.EXE from Windows Program Manager.  For Windows 95 run Add/Remove
  Programs from the Control Panel.

  If all of the files are currently on your hard drive you can still 
  install the program by running the INSTALL.EXE from Windows. This
  also works for Windows 95.

5. Why Register?
----------------

  The shareware version of Adr_Html is limit to only 25 records in a single
  database file.  The registered version removes this limitation. A
  registered version can hold 5000 records in an indiviual database file.

  You will be entitled to one year of free upgrades.

  You will feel better. (maybe) Actually, I really believe this is true.

  So how do you get version 1.1? Simple:

  METHOD 1:
     Send $23.00 plus $2.00 shipping and handling ($5 for international 
     shipping and handling) along with name and mailing address to:

  METHOD 2:
     Email. This is my favorite method of registration. By this method I
     will simply email you the latest registered version. This has a couple
     of advantages. First there is no shipping and handling cost. The entire
     cost to you is $23.  Second, I am assured that you have received the
     product. (I am always concerned about the postal mail. You send a
     check, I send a disk, I cash the check, you don't receive the disk. Yuck!)

     To initiate this method all you need to do is send me an Email message.

     You can also order using VISA and Mastercard. Just be sure to include
     the card number, the name as written on the card, and the expiration date.
     There is a registration form under the on line Help Menu.

     From Europe I am sorry to say I can not cash Eurocheques, as banks here
     want to charge me $35 for handling.
